INTEGROIL in n. 215 May-June 2019 of RETEMA magazine
The technical article ‘INTEGROIL: an integrated solution for increasing the water reuse in industrial environments’ done by ACCIONA Agua summarizes the project’s main results and conclusions.
The INTEGROIL technology has been demonstrated to produce water with the required quality for being reused in the following applications: irrigation and reinjection from produced water; firewater, steam generation or cooling water from refinery wastewater. As a whole, this technology allows increasing the reusable water more than 50%. The results also include a cost analysis based on Life Cycle Costing (LCC) methodology, revealing that the INTEGROIL technology is economically viable for reuse in steam generation as well as for the rest of applications selected when the cost of obtaining the industrial water is higher than 0.26 €/m3.
